My husband was a retired US forces veteran who took a job in Saudi Arabia after he retired and I came home to England, we kept in contact and he came home when he could but it was hard being apart. I last saw him possibly in 2001 and we argued as we had drifted apart. He kept in contact when he felt like it but I could not contact him even though I tried and have been trying for years. I started to search for him on the internet and eventually found out through the US social security index that he had died in 2006. I have a retirees us military retirees ID card that had expired so I made enquiries about getting it renewed in England and was told I could do that at RAF Mildenhall
and I went there to try to do that. Immediately I produced my card at the main gate I explained I was there to renew it and hoped to get some legal advice. My ID was taken from me and I was told it was confiscated and I would not be allowed on the base without a sponsor. It was like a cruel cold slap in the face. I eventually made contact with the veterans administration and have been told that yes my husband died but their records do not have any details of where or how he died, they dont seem to have any records, but no military pension has been paid since the date of his death! I am horrified I just hope I will find out he had a decent funeral. We never got divorced because we always said we were together for life. Can anyone give me some advice, I have been trawling the internet searching but every web page I go to wants money then expects me to pay even if they dont find anything one page offered me a death certificate and expected me to pay almost $100 but told me I would still have to pay first even if the records could not be found or were unavailable I just dont know what to do next.

How do I get a copy of a marriage that happened in New York in the 1920’s?

papillongirl asked:

My grandmother was married and had my father. Then she got divorce from his father and got remarried. Her new husband adopted my father and none of it was ever talked about again. I would like to find out who his real dad was but all I have is a name. I thought if I could find the marriage license then I could find out more info on him. But it happened in New York and I live in Indiana. I have searched on the internet but it seems like it is real hard and expensive to get any info from New York’s records. It would even be helpful to get a copy of the adoption records, that my have some ssn on it or something from his real father.

How to find FREE a mentally disabled person in the Social Service System in WA since 1977 using name and DOB?

KittyKatAlyst asked:

My blood and step-siblings were disbursed among foster homes for care in the mid 1970’s. I have been trying to locate one of my lost step-siblings. I have her full name and date of birth, plus the names of her mother and father and I THINK she was born in Arizona. I last saw her in a foster home in Battleground, Washington in 1978, but she had entered the Social Services and Foster Care System a year or two prior to 1977 as a minor child. At this date, she would be 48 years old. I have run across such a name with the correct age on a ‘person search’ web site, but I do not know if I can trust the information and therefore do not want to give up my credit information to obtain the listed record of which only contains 2 items..her DOB and Present Address.

Is there a web site or agency I can use to find her address for FREE? (Not the ‘free’ where you type in the info and then have to pay for the results!) She is mentally disabled with epilepsy and has been a ward of the court (to my knowledge) for over 40 years…so it stands to reason that there will be NO PUBLIC RECORDS to access since she has never rented a home, had a telephone, paid an electric bill, held a job, paid taxes, married or divorced, or had a driver’s license. I do not know her Social Security Number or exactly who to contact ‘in the system’ up in Washington that could help me locate her or apprise me of any ‘privacy laws’ pertaining to locating such individuals. ..I only want find out if she is still among the living and to write and send pictures to the charge responsible for her care to see if she even remembers me….
after all these years…PLEASE HELP…THANX

How do websites like www.peoplefinders.com know ALL of my information?

Xenu asked:

I searched my name and I was shocked to find that this website sells ALL of my information such as my present and past home addresses, home number, cell phone number, marriage/divorce records, death records, records of property I own, names of my mother, father, siblings, places I have worked, places I have attended school, criminal background check, other relatives, etc. etc. etc.
It seems like these people know more about me than I do!
My question is how do these people get this much information? I can see how they might get address and phone numbers because this is stuff used over the internet, but what about everything else?
Is this safe? It seems like stalker necessities to me.

should the wife be told?

Met a guy from a singles website. He had a pic up and everything, said that his relationship status was single. We had lunch and did a little smooching afterward. I did just an open record, free search on him and found out that he’s married. They even just bought a house a few months ago…. when I asked him about it, at first he denied it was him but he eventually told me that it’s too expensive for a divorce (which I know is not true in all cases, this was not someone with a lot of assets). Anyway, think I should contact the wife and let her know her husband is on a dating website?? I’d want to know…
I’m reading some of these answers and omg you guys are crazy… I just want to clarify, I have zero feelings for him and in no way do I feel hurt or the need to revenge. like I said, we met once. as soon as I found out he was married, I lost all interest in him because 1. I am not going to waste my time on a married man and 2 what goes around, comes around and I’m not tempting karma.

this isn’t about revenge, it isn’t about my hurt feelings. lol I’m sure that I’m not the first person he met from online because he was so comfortable with our meeting. if he was one of my girlfriend’s husbands and I happened upon his profile on a singles dating site, I’d tell her without hesitation. but because I don’t know his wife or know what kind of relationship they have, I’m not sure if I should tell her or not.

Does anyone know how to contact a person without last name, phone number, email, current or previous address?

I am trying to find an old friend. We worked together for about 6 months, then we both moved. We stayed in touch for a while, but along the way I lost her phone number. When I knew her, she was going through a divorce. I do not know what her maiden name was. The only info I have is her first name, married last name, birth place, and age. I have asked all people that we mutally knew, none of them know how to contact her. I have looked for countless hours on myspace and facebook and have had no luck. I have searched marriage records in the town she was married in, but most of the sites charge for that and I don’t want to pay. I even went to her university’s website to see if I could find any info on her there, no luck. Any suggestions?
Problem resolved. I found her.
