Need help locating my father?

Monday, March 22nd, 2010
Lovin’Life3 asked:

My parents got divorced when I was 7 and I haven’t seen or heard from my father since. I have tried every possible place I can think of such as zabasearch, obits and marriage licenses, public records and all I’ve come up with is a ruff birth date, former address, former work place and a possible new wife. His number is also unlisted. I would really like to ask my family for help but the divorce ended badly and they forbid me from ever contacting him again. But, I hardly remember him and would like to at least know what he looks like. And short of paying $50 for a complete background search, I don’t know what to do. I wouldn’t mind paying that amount of money, if I owned it. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

Am I Legally married?

Friday, March 12th, 2010
Gabriel J asked:

I am currently going through a divorce and I did some digging on the peron that I am trying to get rid of. In 2002 we got married through the court in AZ in which I paid the application fee and was issued a regular size paper marriage certificate. I was NEVER issued a true big marriage licence. In the State of Arizona public access court info, we have a filing date with fees but there is no date under dispostion date and one section does not state marriage license recorded. I saw other marriage cases and the majority have first, the fees and later date states marriage license recorded with a dispostion date. I have looked at people’s finder, Govt people search, etc.. THERE IS NO RECORD THAT I AM MARRIED. Any advise??

What recourse do I have if I’ve discovered my husband was married to someone else at the time of our wedding?

Blaze asked:

I was searching through the online public records for a county he used to live in and saw he had a judgment awarded to him from a woman bearing his (our) last name two years after our wedding date. We are currently divorcing (but it’s not final yet) and I’m concerned if our marriage is invalidated, my settlement will be too.

Stacey asked:

my husband at the time and i lived in 2 different states and i never got any divorce decree. are we really divorced? i’ve searched both states’ data banks and court records. nothing on file.
other than never receiving any divorce decree papers, he knew how to get a hold of me. Email, telephone, and address. Nothing ever. I’m currently engaged for the last 2 years and need to know before we get married if I’m divorced from my ex. Otherwise, we’ll have to postpone until I am.

How do I find out if my husband was still married when we got married?

KharizmaDiva asked:

I know you want to say that he can’t marry me until he gets a divorce from his first wife but my aunt married her present husband then filed for a divorce from her ex. Well, they lived in Alexandria Virginia and I’ve searched for public records but I can’t find a free site that shows the information online. I can request to have something mailed but I don’t want my husband to know. How do I find this info out without him finding out? I ask because if he was still married I will be filing for an annulment. P.S. It’s not like I’m hiding but I want to have all the info before I go further with this.
O.k. communication on my part doesn’t matter if I married a lier. Even presidents lie and we let them into our lives, then later want to get rid of them. Don’t try to put me down for being a trusting person, please this is already hard enough. Second, I know that the marriage wouldn’t be valid if he was married but I first need to find out if he was married in order to qualify for an annulment. I don’t want to get divorced then find out that I was actually eligible for an annulment. Please play nice.
ok i already feel stupid for letting this get pass me in the first place. I am sure my aunt was married before her divorce went through because they did it at the court house and I was there. then about a year later her divorce was finalized. i JUST WANT TO KNOW WHERE i CAN FIND THIS INFORMATION.
My problem is not having trust, it’s trusting too much and too easy.
